Limited Bodies

During the July meeting of Kun-Yang and Gus, both were dealing with new and unpredictable injuries/illness.

Gus still does not have his entire mobility back after his procedure and Kun-Yang recently had two tooth extractions and could not move for several days afterward due to the pain. Both artists recognized the reality of always having surprise painful moments occur that further limit an already limited body.

The engagement still continued with Gus reviewing Kun-Yang’s work and most recent livestream performance. He discussed his notes with Kun-Yang regarding what he has noticed within the different choreography Kun-Yang has created over the years.

After this discussion, both artists reviewed the 16 verb/action exercise and reviewed their work, performing together and separately and exchanging ideas.

On the second day, Christine Jowers from The Dance Enthusiast stopped by to connect with Kun-Yang and Gus and learn more about the project.
